-->> Master martial artist Yoshi Chen was an ambitious young outcast on the streets of Chinatown . His mixed Chinese & Japanese parentage rendered him an "Inu" or dog among the gangs of the city. Feeding into the mockery, and raising a pit-bull terrier named Mauler .. Chen became a force to be reckoned with. Raising the eye brows of Johnny Yen's Golden Triangle gang, Cheng became one of the Gang's most lethal enforcers. The magical Dark Powers of Yen's equally raised Chen's eyebrows. Chen studied black magic on his own and was able to summon minor spirits and rise further in hierarchy in the Golden Triangle.

But those that would be jealous of Chen in the gang plotted against him. Locking him and his pet in an airtight container aboard a cargo ship, hoping to suffocate them both to death.

Turning to his dark practices and magic to save his life, Chen managed contact with a powerful Oni, a demon by the name of Noi Tai Dar.

The demon would save Chen's life but Chen would also have to help him cross over to the Earthly plain in time for his own evil ambition, to devour mans' souls !!

The cost of this bargain was a twisted melding of the pit-bull and Chen.. a demon induced mutation. The fusion rendered Chen a real - life dog.

Escaping the container and disgusted by his appearance, he hid his new face behind a Samurai styled Mempo to mask his canine features.

Building his own army in Japan to help keep his promise to the Oni .. his Dog Star Gang became formidable and powerful, perhaps only dwarfed by the Foot Clan itself.

Chen was now Chien Khan .. and his efforts to raise the demon to grounds of Earth almost came to fruition. Near stealing the soul of April O'Neil & the TMNTs ally Chu Hsi, the Warrior Dragon, and destroying the lives of their friends Fu Sheng and Oyuki Mashimi. The Demon was partially released from the heart of a nuclear power plant.

But Chien's and the Oni's plans would be thwarted by the Turtle Team, Splinter , The Warrior Dragon, and the great gods Izanagi and Izanami !! He'd even be betrayed by his own underling.. .. the one time hench-vixen & cult TMNT fan favorite :: Ninjara !! !!

Fleeing Japan .. and rebuilding his army, this time back in New York. Chien sought to restrategize and focus his magic on minor spirits he could control. Thus allowing him to seek revenge on Johnny Yen and the Golden Triangle and steal the source of Johnny's powers.

Becoming caught in the crossfire of a gang war between the Dog Star and the Golden Triangles .. April O'Neil also becomes a major nuisance to Chien Khan.

After the destruction of Yen .. and the source of his powers.. a final showdown between C.K. and April commences.

In a last ditch effort to destroy her, he summons the spirits. But accidentally the major ones.. the ones he had been avoiding contact with. A gateway to the Oni's home of Yomi opens ..and a monstrous voice tells that Noi Tai Dar wants to have a little chat with Chien !!

While distracted, April kicks C.K. in through the hellish gateway and into the Oni's hands sending Chien Khan to the dog pounds in Hell !! !!
